Our Faith
Most dear and central to our lives is a faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. He is our Redeemer, the one who makes it possible for us to rise up to become something more than we are. He overcame death, making it possible for us to live again after death and to see those we love again. The hope that comes from that lights our lives and provides us with an optimism that triumphs over the hardships that we face. It is central to how we raise our family.
We both served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is central to how we raise our family. Following the words of living prophets and patterning our lives after Jesus Christ enables a hope, optimism, and desire to do right that we believe is critical to our children’s happiness and helps us and them see the best in those around us. Regular Sabbath worship, family prayer and gospel learning are important aspects of our family life.
Among the lines from living prophets that guides our family life is this, “Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.” These words have been a guiding beacon in how we pattern our family life.
